MMOEXP-Final Tips for Farming Phoenix Artifact

• Feb 24, 2025 - 07:43

Season 5 of New World has introduced a range of exciting new artifacts, and one of the New World Coins most sought-after among them is the Phoenix artifact. This powerful item can significantly enhance your gameplay, and obtaining it as early as possible can give you a strong advantage.

In this guide, we will explore the most efficient method for farming the Phoenix artifact, including the best farming locations, stamp collection strategies, and key tips to maximize your efficiency.

Farming Location

The Phoenix artifact is tied to the Season Pass and requires reaching Level 80. Many players initially turned to the usual farming spots from previous seasons, but those locations don’t seem as effective this time around.

The best farming spot I found for this season is Windsward. This region is well-known among players, and it offers an excellent environment for farming due to the following reasons:

Abundance of mobs: You will encounter a high density of enemies, which allows for quick kills and efficient farming.

Two mob types: The area is populated by both Ancients and Beasts, making it easy to check off multiple kill requirements at once.

Additional mobs nearby: Just outside the temple, you’ll find even more Beasts, providing a continuous flow of enemies to farm.

By farming in this area, you can rapidly progress towards unlocking the Phoenix artifact while also working towards multiple stamps and weapon-specific objectives.

Stamp Collection & Strategy

Named Mobs for Shield Stamps

In Windsward, there are two named mobs located fairly close to each other. Killing these named enemies counts as a Shield activity, making it one of the most effective ways to earn Shield-related stamps.

Leaf Stamps with Void Gauntlet

To efficiently collect Leaf stamps, the Void Gauntlet is the best weapon to use. The requirement for these stamps is to kill 10 mobs using the Void Gauntlet. You can optimize this by using the following technique:

Cast Oblivion on a mob.

Switch to another weapon to finish them off.

This method allows you to gain credit for multiple stamps simultaneously. If you are particularly lucky, you might also get the "Kill 10 enemies with a magical weapon" requirement, which can be completed at the same time as the Void Gauntlet kills.

Additional Stamps & Weapon Requirements

Besides Leaf stamps, there are several other important stamps you should focus on:

One-handed kills (Swords, Rapiers)

Two-handed kills (Greatswords, War Hammers)

Ranged weapon kills (Blunderbuss, Bow, Musket)

Ancient and Beast kills (automatically obtained in Windsward)

Carrying multiple weapon types and switching them strategically will help you maximize your farming efficiency. Additionally, stocking up on New World Coins can enable you to acquire better gear and consumables to speed up the process.

Flask Stamps

The Flask (Bottle) stamp requires a bit more preparation compared to others. The easiest way to obtain this stamp is by salvaging Tier 5 items. However, since the mobs in Windsward do not drop Tier 5 items, you’ll need to prepare in advance by bringing extra Tier 5 gear to salvage.

An alternative method is crafting Tier 5 consumables at your camp, but this approach requires gathering the necessary resources and returning to your camp frequently, which may slow down your progress.

Logging Axe & Skull Stamps

The Logging Axe stamp and the Skull stamp are less critical to focus on. In most cases, you do not need to complete more than three stamps in a row, as you can use a Wild Stamp to clear the fourth one instead.

When to Consider Gathering Resources

If you run out of stamps and get unlucky with your rolls, you may need to complete the "Gather 500 resources" stamp by chopping down trees nearby. While this slows down your farming, it can sometimes be necessary if you lack alternative stamps to complete.

Final Tips for Farming Phoenix Artifact

Prioritize high-density mob areas: The more mobs you can kill quickly, the faster you will progress towards the artifact.

Use a variety of weapons: This ensures you are constantly progressing on different stamp types.

Prepare Tier 5 items: Either by bringing salvageable items or crafting consumables at your camp.

Optimize kill strategies: Using abilities like Oblivion (Void Gauntlet) allows for multi-stamp progression.

Utilize Wild Stamps wisely: Avoid wasting time on unnecessary stamps by using Wild Stamps strategically.

By following this guide, you should be able to efficiently farm for th
