In Tablature, hidden note after tie should be between parentheses instead under some conditions
MuseScore has the option to hide the fret number or not for a tied note (Show back tied fret mark)
It seems other software packages always hide such a note but display it between parenthesis under some condition:
- If the tied not is on a new system
- If the note is bended, has a fingering or other text attached
Comments
My suggestion (which will cover, hopefully, all exceptions—not just the ones you've listed) is simply to expand the functionality available when "Show back-tied fret marks" is unticked (OFF). Allow the user to make any back-tied fretmark visible.
