Line can't be extended to the last note
OS: Ubuntu 9.10
MuseScore Version: r.2438
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Create a new score
2. Add an octava (8va) to the 2nd to last measure
3. Double click on the octava and extend it it the last note.
Expected Result: Last note plays back an octave higher.
Actual Result: Last note doesn't play back an octave higher.
Workaround: If you put the octava in the last measure and extend it backwards the last note will work correctly.
I think what's going on here is that the end of the octava is attached to the first note after the octava instead of the last note in the octava. You can't extend the octava past the last note because, well... there aren't any notes after the last note (hehe).
Comments
Confirmed using r. 2510 nightly, Windows XP.
Workaround: Add an extra bar to the end of the piece, extend the octava, delete the extra bar.
Works well in 1.1.
Not fixed in MuseScore 1.1 or the nightly builds (tested r. 5265). Last note of piece still doesn't play up an octave.
Oh! I had tested that and I was really sure it was fixed. My bad. Sorry!
#21187: Line not applicable to final note has been marked as a duplicate of this bug.
It's not limited to octava - I think it affects other things, such as pedal.
Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (a256907) - Mac 10.7.5.
Still it's a duplicate.
The other was marked as duplicate.
I cannot reproduce. Either it's been fixed, or more specific steps would be useful.
I can't reproduce either.
