How to create triplets and other tuplets across measures

  1. Select the measures you want to join;

  2. From the menu bar, select Edit→Measure→Join Selected Measures (MuseScore 2) or Tools→Measure→Join Selected Measures (MuseScore 3).

    create the tuplet, then add a barline from the palette where you want it to appear
