I believe the above is another problem, related with the soundfont and the polysynth instrument, or the Halo Pad (L) sample or even the libsndfile version...
However to avoid the crash I will commit a fix to add an hard limit (duration + 3 seconds). After that MuseScore will stop the export even if the attenuation is not yet minimal.
