I've downloaded the AppImage of Musescore3 for Linux.
I launch it and all is fine with pulseaudio or Alsa, but with Jack as audio backend,
there is no sound. I can't open the synthesiser from the 'View' menu.
It happens every time I use Musescore3 AppImage.
Musescore 2.3.2 is installed on the same computer and works fine with Jack, PulseAudio or Alsa.
Comments
related to #105901: ARM AppImage needs to work with non-pulse systems (ALSA-only or Jack)?
@sub26nico :
you can try if this hint is of help also in your case: https://musescore.org/en/node/268685#comment-883898
We could think of making the AppImage understand if ldconfig is in the PATH and adding /sbin to the PATH for libjack identification.
I am trying something similar in my tentative AppImage type 2 branch (still a lot to do), see https://github.com/AntonioBL/MuseScore/commit/7f3dc6b3bda177fee5be3641a… : any suggestion for a better way of implementing it?
