Concert Pitch button seems to have no effect
I've been using Musescore for a few weeks, writing string quartets. I just read about concert vs. written pitch. I've been writing with the Concert Pitch button highlighted (which seems to be the default -- and the scores show up with the viola part using Alto Clef. Since I'm not comfortable with that, I just tried a new score with the Concert Pitch button not highlighted. No difference. I tried writing one note with Concert Pitch highlighted, then exported it as a pdf twice -- once with Concert Pitch highlighted, once without. It didn't make any difference. What am I missing? (I'm using Musescore 3.2.3 for Ubuntu.)

Violas are not transposing instruments.

Pity. I guess I'll have to get used to Alto Clef.

Why? Just change the clef, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/clefs

It is not really clear from the chapter in the handbook, but you can actually use different clefs in concert pitch and transposed pitch, if I recall correctly.

On some instruments. On those set up for this. Viola is not one of them
