high hats not playing really fast to make a note
So I wanted to make All Star but only with unpitched percussion (I made high hats play really fast to make it sound like an note e.g. for the note A I would do a 440 tuplet across one measure that is equal to one second). The issue i have is the second tuplet wont play when I start it from the beginning but it does when i start with it. I have linked the song here

I don’t know man seems like a stupid idea anyway

I think it's pretty clever, actually - but I'd really be shocked if you got it to work :-). There is just too much going on with how sound generation works for this to be likely to pan out. I guess as a starting point, though, you might see if you can at least get it going in a purely audio program like Audacity or whatever, which would set an upper bound on what you expect sound-wise if you were able to work out all the kinks in trying to do the same within audio software.

I’ll try that out but I don’t know any free daws that could do that if you know any I’ll try it out

As I said, Audacity could probably do this, or if you prefer a full DAW, you could try Ardour. If you really want to spend the effort on it.

I fixed it by changing the sound font to the tr-808
