Volta with MORE than 1 repeat does not work in page view or continuous view
If a score has a volta with more than 1 repeat the repeat will only repeat once then end at the first volta - never going to the second volta. Oddly, if the repeat has only ONE repeat, it will repeat then skip to the second volta section, as normal. This was tested with the latest 3.5 nightly.

You need to right click measure 22 (the measure with the repeat) and choose Measure properties. In that dialog set play count to 4 (the total number of times this section is played).

Thank you. The handbook doesn't tell you that.

Thanks. Just curious, Why do you have to adjust the measure repeats when you already told Musescore how many repeats you want with the volta setting in the inspector?

Because it has been programmed that way. And in absence of voltas there would not be repeats if it'd rely on voltas

I think the play count is redundant in the presence of voltas but necessary if there are no voltas in something like a hymn that has 3 or more verses. Since it's sometimes necessary the programmers made it always necessary.
It would be nice if MuseScore automated the play count in the presence of voltas, setting the play count to the highest number in the repeat list. This would quickly get complicated when there is more than one volta. I've seen repeat patterns with 3 or more voltas.

OK. Do Hymns have more than one repeat but no Voltas? Curious. I have seen ONE repeat with no Volta (the measure repeat is defaulted to 2), but never more than 1 repeat without a Volta. However, I am not familiar enough with choral scores to know one way or the other. I like your idea of defaulting to the highest number in the repeat list.
Thanks

Many songs have more than 2 verses, so more than 2 repeats, but rarely voltas.
Having voltas is the exception rather than the rule

Ok. Thanks. Good to know.
