How to Beam Four Quarter Notes Together
I am trying to beam four eighth notes in a bar that also has two quarter notes before that in a piece that is in 4/4 time. Does anyone know how to do that?

You can't beam quarter notes. Can you show a picture of what you mean?

I mean eighth notes not quarter notes. I want something that looks like this

Note though that your example image posted above should be the way MuseScore beams by default already for that time signature..

Indeed, just enter the two quarters and four eights and this is exactly what you get. Not sure what you might have done wrong originally, but at this point who knows what state the measure is in. Might
Be best to just re-enter those notes to make sure you don’t encounter further problems in this measure.
