How to delete measures of a grand staff in the middle of the piece?
I'm trying to delete measures in the middle of a piece, on a grand staff. I've tried all the right-click and menu bar options, and nothing works.
With all the measures, both staves selected first, and then only one staff selected, I tried:
- Cut
- Delete (right-click menu)
- Remove selected range
- Remove empty trailing measures (did remove measures at the end)
- CMD+DELETE
- Delete (menu bar)
- Remove selected range
Image of version number and the empty measures are attached. I'm on a Mac 10.15.7
I ended up moving everything from that point to the end of the piece up four measures to fill the empty measures, then removed empty trailing measures, but that's not really a viable workaround.

Either of these should work:
If not, please share the score and name the measures to be removed

Right, those don't work. Score attached; trying to remove 41-44

Hi,
No problem by selecting these measures and then Ctrl-Del

Indeed, no problem here either
Thanks, all. After I restarted MuseScore and reopened the file, CMD+DELETE worked just fine, and is working in other scores, too.
Maybe it was just a temporary glitch. I really appreciate the quick help; homework is due this afternoon!

If you're not on the current version (3.5.2), please update, There was a known bug some releases agos where indeed this could could disabled itself, that's been fixed along with many others since. If you're still seeing it happen with 3.5.2, it would be nice to understand steps to get into that situation again.

Yes, I am currently on 3.5.2.312126096 when I was having the problem yesterday.
Since restarting and re-opening the file, I haven't had the problem again. I was mid-score, so I had added several sections of measures, as well as cutting and pasting notes around, but I've opened multiple scores just now, including scores with grand staff, and can't replicate the issue.
