Integration with DAW
Let me explain my workflow as background to a feature request.
1) I open my DAW and use it as a sketch pad for ideas.
2) When I have the basis of an idea, I generate a midi file.
3) I then read the midi into musescore and tidy up the notation for printing.
4) I then pass the 'paper copies' around musicians to rehearse and then,
5) We record live back into the DAW.
REQUEST...
I request a feature improvement to allow a smart way of integrating musescore into the DAW (rewire or vst?) That would cut out the intermediate step of transferring midi - I could use my initial idea in the DAW as the temp track for the final recording.
Integrating musescore into the DAW would mean quality printing from within the DAW.

This is planned for version 4, see https://musescore.org/en/MuseScore4

Thank you, I have read your link.
I take it that you are referring to "The Sequencer" feature? if so, that looks an excellent step to get ideas down and then tidy up within musescore. I suspect that I will still need to generate a midi file (or equivalent) to get the idea from musescore as a temp track on my DAW for the final recording(?)
Musescore 4 certainly looks ambitious! can we have it yesterday please? :-)

I hear it will be yesterday in about 9 months.
I posted this some time back also https://musescore.org/en/node/302994
It just needs a small vst that loads in the DAW that will send the vst time info to the Musescore app.
This is how many standalone applications work as a vst.
