Notehead colors
Hi, I have attached a score I am working on. Please note that in measure 34 I wanted the 8va and lyric text to be shown in Red. However when I did this I somehow also changed the notehead for the C note to red and this also extended to measure 37.I have tried everything I can think of to change these notes back to black but can't figure it out. Can someone tell me what I am missing?
Thanks

The note cannot be played on an electric guitar using normal tuning. You would likely need to change the string to tune it down from E to C. To ignore this warning from MuseScore you can open Edit->Preferences->Note input and remove the check from Color notes outside of usable range.

Aha, thank you Mike. I was assuming it something to do with my coloring of the 8va line because that’s when I first noticed it. Fyi, this bass section is played with a phase shifter pedal to lower the notes an octave.

Good to learn about the phase shifter pedal. I've never played an electric guitar though I know there are a lot of things that can be done to the sound. I couldn't play anything useful on any guitar.
I do understand your confusion since the colors showed up together. I would suggest that you put the ottava below the notes since that's where they normally are placed to indicate the notes are lowered an octave.

Yes... and/or add the text '8vb' to that line.
