More details: The printing dialog does not show.
I commited a fix in r1922. The dialog shows now and it works. Thank you Werner for the comment in the code :)
I have a problem where my score just won't print. The print dialog box comes up and I click on prink but nothing happens. I can't print preview either. I am having to save everything as a PDF and print that way but it means I end up with 2 copies of everything I do saved. Any suggestions? I am running Mac OS 10.6.8 and have just upgraded to Musescore 1.1.
I am having the same problem on a Macbook Pro, OS 10.6.8, Musescore version 1.1 - It used to print just fine whether through a USB cable or over wireless to the laser printer served up on another Mac. In the last week, the printing functionality has failed. The dialog box comes up but whether I try printing directly to the printer or printing to a PDF, nothing appears to happen. The PDF will not appear or if printing directly, the normal print queue icon does not show up. Other applications print just fine (Mail, Safari, Preview, etc.)
I tried the save as PDF function as a workaround. It sort of works. If I set the layout to letter, the "actual size" page view in Preview comes up about an 1/8th of an inch across. If I set a custom size of 8.49 x 11.00, then the PDF pages come up the right size, also if I choose A4 format. This used to work too, and has failed sometime recently.
I deleted version 1.1 and reinstalled it to no avail. installed 1.0 again with no improvement. I reinstalled version 1.1. Nothing has helped. it used to work but through some setting change or a challenging score, something went haywire.
I tried installing nightly build 4766 and have the same symptoms with it for printing. The SaveAs function does not give me a choice to save to PDF, so I cannot test that part. .
I have tried many different page sizes and none of them succeed in printing or making a PDF or previewing.
I am able to SaveAs to a PDF, as long as the page size is NOT letter. A custom size of 8.49x11.00 is fine, but letter size leads to problems.
I tried the fix that is referenced on here for blank pages, but that is not the problem. I can't get any sort of printout or preview at all. What I experience seems to be like the program is jumping out of the print subroutine before it really even gets into it. I get the dialog box in response to Option-P and I can choose the printer or pages. I can set the destination for a PDF file, but once I commit to OK, it exits back to the main view.
I have the same problem. Tried printing to pdf and tried previewing, nothing happens, the 'Print' window just shuts.

It was leading me mad¡ I was about to throw the printer away. Have spent also a lot of ink, as I was thinking that it was a problem with the printer, but my print test were showing all colours, and all ok. Lucky I came across this forum¡ The problem with this sort of setting is that, once you know about it you go straight away and change it, but when one does not know what could be the problem, there are ten´s of possible settings to try, so it´s basically like a lottery. Thank you¡
I was printing Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 3 (first pages) and the printer was leading me mad (not the difficulty of the music, hahaha).

Can you check Page settings -> Layout for the score you are trying to print. Is the page format on Letter?

Is this still a problem for you?
Could you check the nightly builds?

Hi
Were you using a nightly build?
As there has been no response, I close this.
Please open another issue if you continue to experience problems.

Hi, Nicolas. I had the problem of getting blank pages and the change to Letter paper seems to work.
Thanks
