Musescore crashed after update

Today I updated my Musescore and when I started it I first get a massage that says: the previous session quit unexpectedly. Restore session Yes or No. When I click on yes the program attempts to start and I then get the : Musescore3.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correcttly. Please close the program with a box under it that says "close the program".
Musescore does no longer work and what about my files Have I lost them?? I am worried. Victor

But no, a crash will never remove your files, they are still there exactly in the folder you saved them to. If you navigate to that folder and double-click one, it should open just fine, but do see the article above for more on how to solve the problem for real (reboot then repair or reinstall).
