On my system, the attached file Tempo120.mscz plays back at incorrect tempo. Instead of 120 bpm, the result is about 110 bpm.
WAV export renders it at the correct 120 bpm. In the following chart, I've compared the rendered version (top) with a recording of MuseScore's playback (bottom):

That score does play at 120BPM for me, compared to an electronic and a mechanical metronome, in MuseScore 3.6.1 ()you may want to update)

You are right, it seems the issue is fixed in 3.6.1. (For some reason the update did not trigger automatically, so I just manually updated.)

I just encountered this on MuseScore 3.6.2. I had a piece with a tempo marking quarter=102 which was playing at approximately quarter=111. When exporting to wav, the exported wav had the correct tempo (quarter=102). When closing and re-opening MuseScore, the playback tempo is now correct. I will report if I reproduce this again. Could you re-open the issue?
