One file crashes upon opening
Good morning/afternoon/evening,
I've a .mscz file that crashes MuseScore upon opening. It worked fine when I last worked on it, in November.
Could it be because it's a song by McFly?

Opens fine for me, in MuseScore 3.5.2, which is what that score was last ssave with.
Opens just fine in 3.6.1 too
3.6(.0) does crash though. So update

When I submit a crash log, is there any information I should add? I simply put "Crashed upon loading". I don't know how much MuseScore knows or sends.

Not needed in this case, as the issue is fixed in 3.6.1

Always: #315529: MuseScore 3.6 crashes on open of a file with start repeat in continuous view
The main score was in Page view, but the part in Continuous View ! (and with repeats of course)
Reproducible from scratch with the 3.6

Darn, I did check the score, but not the part!
Thanks. I don't get much involved with fault reporting, largely because I don't see many faults (although MuseScore does crash more than all other programs it's not that often).
I can't recall putting the part into Continuous view since I'm always thinking in A4.

It crashes more often than Reaper, Libre Office, Chrome, Spotify, Zoom, Teams, 3CX & Solitaire, my main apps on this laptop. Maybe once a session.

We are always happy to fix crashes once someone reports them, so do be sure to report them all. Any time you see a crash, post to this forum with the score and the precise steps to reproduce the crash, and 9 times out of 10 we'll have it fixed in the next update.

If the score and steps you provide allow us to reproduce the problem, then that's all we need. But saying what OS you are on is always a good idea, as some crashes as OS-specific. Hardware and other software are involved only very rarely, so only if someone asks about a specific thing like your audio or display hardware and driver would it be worth the trouble of digging out that sort of information.
