Measure Numbers

Greetings fellow creatives - Working on a vocal arrangement and when I go to insert measure numbers, the count starts at the second measure. Any ideas why?

a pickup measure? https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/measure-operations#properties
Right click the measure check the Exclude from measure count box

Not totally clear what you mean - the numbers themselves, or which measure they appear on - but it's normal the first measure would be skipped if it is a pickup. You can change this in Measure Properties for the measure. And you can control which measures display numbers in Format / Style / Measure Numbers.

Hey Marc -

Thanks for responding. It's weird, I do not have a pick up measure in this tune. The measure numbering actually begins at measure 2. I've attached a copy of the file for you to check.
