So are you seeing something else than shown at https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tools#toggle-rhythmic-slash-notation ?
Or are you saying you are seeing that but want it to change?
And if you want to change the default, then can you provide some reference material about what/how the new default should be?

sorry I wasn't being too clear, my bad xD
I presume this is a bug regarding the stem height, since it exceeds the notehead...
Apart from that I'm actually quite happy with the slash notation in musescore thanks!

Can you share the score?
Does it look better with a different Musical Font like Emmentaler or Bravura (Format > Score)?
Is your score using Leland?

It uses Gonville at the moment, stem height seems to be to high in any font though

in some fonts the problem is less visible but still there Idk if that helps...

Can you attach here the *.mscz file you are having problems with?
Are you using 3.6.2 (https://musescore.org/en/download )?

Seems a bug in Gonville. So use a different font, as a workaround
Hmm, OK, seems a bug with Gonville (only!) in 3.6(.2), looks OK in 3.5.2, not good!
Please report it in the issue tracker as a Major Regression
