Suspended Cymbal Roll Choke at End
Hello! So I am writing an arrangement for a percussion ensemble, and there's a part where I want to have a suspended cymbal roll, but then at the end of the roll have the player choke the roll in the next measure of beat 1. Is there any way I can implement a choke at the end of the roll? Thanks!

Looks from the picture that you have decided how to notate this, are you asking how to get the playback? You'd need to find a soundfont that contains an appropriate sound. See the Handbook under "Soundfonts" for info on how to find and install soundfonts.

Ok, I will look into it, thanks for your help! Probably to clarify a bit more, usually in Musescore when you put in a cymbal roll, it will sustain at the end. I want the roll to instead cut off at the quarter note, which is where the suspended cymbal roll is choked.

Got it. Probably you actually need a soundfound with cymbal sound that doesn't have a long decay, then when you stop the roll the sound stop.s

The AVL drum-kits have choked cymbals:

There is both an sf2 and an sfz version.

Question: With the changes coming in MS4, will it be possible to have control over the attack and delay envelopes of notes?

At this point it's way too early to say for sure what will or will not be in MuseScore 4. But it does seem this sort of thing is likely to come eventually.
Now that Muse sounds is out, is there a way to do that? Sus cymbal roll with choke at end?
