French text - silent e in lyrics
In French (if not in other languages) the final "e" of a word is sometimes sung, and other times not. I think I've seen it written in italic (as a courtesy) when it's supposed to be silent. Is there a way to make the last "e" of a word italic, say "Triomphe", while not making "Triomph" italic. The italic seems to affect the entire word.

The important remark here is to use the text toolbar at the bottom of the screen for partial overrides. The inspector settings apply to the entire text.
