Musescore playback does not recognize my Audioengine speakers
Windows Output designation = AudioEngine 2+
Playback from Chrome works fine
Musescore playback defaults to internal PC speakers (Realtek Audio) and doesn't recognize respecification of AudioEngine. I tried reinstalling AudioEngine, turned PC off and on. Swore at Microsoft. Nothing works

If you are using them BT, check that they are connected before you start MuseScore. And that they are selected in Preferences I/O.
If hardwired, select the speaker icon in your taskbar and check that they are selected there.

What's BT
They are connected
There are no live, checkable options on preferences I/O

BT=Bluetooth.
Have you hit the Restart Audio Engine button on the I/O page?
What about the speaker icon on your taskbar?
