ADDING A STAVE
I have been working on a piece for two harps.
The score shows 4 staves, treble and bass for each harp.
Now I want to add a trumpet above the four staves.
I cannot find a way to add this additional stave
Is there one ?

Note that unless you are using an older version of MuseScore, the trumpet will already be in the proper place (above the harps) by default as soon as you add it.

Thanks Marc.
MuseScore 3 is what I am using.
I am grateful to the guy who told me how to get an extra instrument and stave,
However, the new Stave, the one for trumpet, has been added to the bottom of the others.
Might you know please, how I get it on top ?

MuseScore will indeed add new instruments at the bottom. Go to Edit/Instruments (the same place you added the trumpet), select the trumpet in the right window. There is and up arrow to the right of that. Select it until the trumpet is where you want it.

Older versions of MuseScore will always add new staves at the bottom. Current versions - like 3.6.2 - will add it in the proper place. Assuming the score was created in the current version, not an older version.
So if you have a score created in 3.6.2 where this doesn't seem to be happening, please attach the score and steps to reproduce the problem, so we can investigate.
If you don't have 3.6.2 (see Help / About), please update.
