Fixing strange note durations in midi import? Possible?
Hello,
I'm importing from midi into Musescore. Sometimes the midi will have small errors, like an whole note that is not quite a whole note, or slightly longer than a whole note. Musescore, since it so accurate, will reproduce this in the score with some complex notation. So, question: Is there a feature that might detect this and round out the notes to the nearest normal note duration? I've seen another program (not as good as Musescore in general) that had a "tidy notes" feature. Is there anything like this in Musescore? I've looked over the manual and can't find it. Or is there some other trick that could accomplish this goal?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Read the Handbook section about MIDI Import. There's some helpful information in the paragraph about Quantization:

If any source from which you obtain a midi file offers a choice of midi or MusicXML files, go with the MusicXML.
