Change "TAB" to the tuning (e.g., vertically-stacked "CFBbEbGC" from the per-string tuning)
Hi guys (m/.../f),
The guitar parts I use Musescore to write are for both regular-tuned guitar and various other tunings, including a '4 frets lower' tuning on my baritone guitar of "CFBbEbGB", which I define for the set of strings when I create the linked TAB staff.
It'd be great if the "TAB" that runs vertically on tab staves could be edited--most usefully to vertically place the tuning as found in the per string definitions.

It looks as if this has been requested several times in the past. Meanwhile as a dirty (not so quick!) work-around you could create a graphic in MuseScore that fits the tab and saving it as an SVG with a solid background, a bit like this. (I used bold Free Sans for the font but normal would look better, I think)
See #79711: Show string tuning after TAB clef.
You can add a simple stave text with suitable font size and line spacing.
Very quick and not so dirty - but make sure auto-placement is off for this text,

Thanks for the inspiration. For now, realizing that I can have two-line Long instrument names, I've used:
Bari Gtr (C)
CFBbEbGC
Ideally, I'd wanted the Styles/Clefs menu to have an option "Mark the Tuning vertically instead of writing 'TAB'".
Cheers/Thanks!

Until that's possible, use the stave text as shown and make TAB invisible.
