Too much space between staves but changing distance doesn't effect anything
I'm stumped on this one. I'm arranging in an orchestral score but the distance between two of the trombone parts is way too large. I have tried decreasing the staff distance above the bottom part to no avail, reset all elements to default, as well as checked to see if there are any elements in either part that would cause it, and there aren't any when I see. When I tried copying and pasting the part to a completely separate system, the same issue occurred.

my dumb mistake - it's like that when I'm in continuous view but it's normal when I go back into page view.

In continuous view, there is only one system, so the distance is whatever the greatest amount required on any system would be. Presumably in page view, there is less space on most systems, but at least one system does have a symbol or symbols that is requiring the extra space and thus will have it. If you need help finding that system or fixing the spacing on it, just attach your score and someone should be able to advise better.
