Recovering deleted measure numbers
I'm working with an orchestra full of student composers, and they were supposed to write their pieces in a template that was designed for them, that had measure numbers placed at the bottom of the page. We're using version 3.6.
This one student deleted the measure numbers from the score (she didn't disable them from the Style menu, she selected all the elements and deleted them) and now we need to put them back, but they don't show up when I uncheck and re-check them from the Style menu. They still show up on the parts, but they aren't anywhere on the main score.
How do I get them back?
(Not sure if this is relevant, but if we insert new measures, then the numbers show up for the new measures, but there doesn't seem to be a way to find the ones she deleted off the score)
Thanks!

Check the Measure Properties for those measures; they can override the style behavior in two ways:
(1) By having "Measure Number Mode" set to "Hide always"
(2) By having "Exclude from measure count" checked.

Thanks! This worked, but it looks like you can only edit measure properties for one measure at a time - if I select a range, it only works for the first measure of that range. Is there a way to edit that setting for all of them at once?

No. Normally that wouldn't be an issue because it's pretty unusual to need to set the same properties for multiple measures, but obviously, it could be useful here.
What about inserting new measures then copying the existing content into them, then deleting the old?

That's the workaround I ended up going with in the end - it took less time than replacing the settings of every measure. It WOULD be useful to be able to adjust the properties of multiple measures - maybe something that could be looked into?
Anyway thank you for the help, I appreciate it!
