Notation question
Not strictly a MuseScore question, but does anyone know what the squiggly inverted V between the Bs on beats one at two means? I have searched and can't find this notation described anywhere. MuseScore doesn't have any symbol for this either.
This is from the bari sax part of Hay Burner (Basie/Nestico). I can't really hear anything conclusive on the recording.
Thanks

My guess is it indicates a kind of bend, like bending the pitch up and back down just before playing the note on beat 2. If you create a staff text, press "F2" to open the Special Characters palette, then click the "Music Symbols" tab, then click "Brass techniques", you'll see some symbols you could use to create this.

Thanks. At our next rehearsal I will take a look at the lead alto and trumpet parts and see what they have and how they want it played.
