Hiding an entire measure
I would like to hide an entire measure, not just one stave in a measure, but I couldn't find anything in the forums or in the options to do that. How can I do it, if possible?

It is not entirely clear what your intent is.
Hide means: not visible, the included notes will still be played and yes, there will be a gap.
Or do you want to remove the measure completely? Then CTRL-DEL would be the key combination. The measure will then be removed for all instruments in the score.

As far as I know: not possible.

That's very sad. I suppose I'll have to notate it in an uglier way.
