Garritan not appearing in Mixer
Garritan doesn't appear in the Mixers VST3 option. Is this a problem with Garritan or file paths?

From https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/217749158-Moving-your-G… it seems that Garritan does not install in the default VST3 folder as required by the specification.
But rather than messing with moving their installed files, you can go into Edit → Preferences → General → Folders inside MuseScore and configure additional folder locations for MuseScore to look for VSTs. You'll likely have to restart MuseScore after changing this list.

Thanks so much for responding! Unfortunately, the path method hasn't worked. I put the same path that worked with Reaper to no avail. Is there anything else I should try, or is the next thing to do moving the installed file?

Can you check the installed Garritan files to see whether there actually is a vst3 file in there?

There are 2 VST files (application extensions), as well as two applications. None of them say VST3 though.

Then there's your answer. MuseScore can only load VST3

On my Win10 system: Aria Player 2.0.5.2 appears in the mixer and plays all old Garritan soundlibs.

The file ARIA Player.vst3 is installed in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ARIA Player.vst3\Contents\x86_64-win
Update Aria Player and Aria engine: start the Player. Go to settings. Update.
While it shows 1.959 it says 2.0,5.2 in the properties.
