I need a little more space between lines for guitar chord melody

Hi Musescore Experts!

I'm a novice to Musescore 3 on linux... and like it!!

I'm using Musescore 3 to write a chart for my old eyes from a freehand arrangement that my teacher wrote for my studies ... a very fine arrangement written for guitar. Please see the Musescore 3 attachment.

As you'll see from the attachment, after including the fretboard diagrams things get a little tight between the 3-measure lines... and are hard to read for me... I'm 71 and am "ready for the large print edition" of everything... I have to make things bigger and easier for myself to read things now.

I'd like you to please provide me Musescore 3 instructions on how to add more space between each 3-measure horizontal line... I think Musescore people call these "systems," but I could be wrong about that.

How to I specify that space I want between the 3-measure lines in the attachement?

For a score notated for a solo instrument like guitar, a single "line" of music is indeed considered a "system". This contrasts to a score for, say, a violin quartet where each of the 4 "lines" of music are played simultaneously. In such a case each system for a quartet will be regarded as comprised of 4 lines (staves) of music.

Regarding your attachment...
Have a look at this:

and compare to your score.

Here's what to change to spread things out:
1. The vertical frame containing the title has a 'Bottom gap' setting in the Inspector (F8). Increase this value until the fretboard diagrams move downward.
2. For the other systems (lines of music) use menu item: Format > Style > Page and set the 'Min. system distance' and the 'Max. system distance'.

P.S. Just for fun (or kicks if you will ;-) I changed your instrument from piano to guitar and added a hidden drum. Open the Mixer (F10) and un-mute the drumset to hear it. Use menu item: Edit > Instruments where you can place a checkmark in the 'Visible' box to see the notation. You can even paste/copy it further into your score. Alternatively, you can click 'Drumset' and 'Remove from score' to eliminate it. The drums were taken from: https://musescore.com/user/38/scores/3020
