MuseScore Drumline for MuseScore 4
I recently downloaded MuseScore 4 but noticed there is no audio for my MDL parts when opening scores created in MuseScore 3. Is MDL not supported on MuseScore 4? Very curious as I primarily arrange percussion parts for marching bands and indoor percussion ensembles.

MDL is not (yet) available for MS4.
Though I've read that you should be able to load the relevant MDL sfz's using Sforzando and it should somewhat work.

Oh right. Yeah the Slash Note heads are supposed to have the Double Whole Note head as a White Slash Double Whole Note Head
it is completely ridiculous that they wouldn't implement musescore drumline to the newest update. I don't care if sibelius is expensive, at least it works, this might be my last straw with musescore.

Also then what's the point of using it then. It maybe "completely ridiculous" but if you want to help others waste lots of time that could be spent on doing better things then keep spitting bro.

Fun fact: they do implement MDL for the new update; it's just not finished yet.
In the meantime you can use the VST Sforzando or Sfizz to load the SFZ files used by the previous MDL to continue using those scores.

lol are you serious, out of all the new updates that Musescore 4 offers you're mad the MDL drumlines aren't out yet?

Other people, other priorities.
If all you did in MS3 was writing for marching band, then it makes sense to be awaiting an update for that.

Yeah I mainly compose for marching band so I don't really use musescore 4 that often yet.

well you can add VDL on Kontakt to load in Musescore now, I just throw that expensive choppy playback scoring-app from my mac's now and just use musescore. no more sib*lius
Don't Listen to These Knuckleheads Releasing a product before its finished just creates problems. I wasted an hour of my time trying to find something that wasn't there! I'm sure it'll be great when it's done. Soldier On bro...
