note velocities musescore 4
Since hairpins are disabled, I was going to try adjusting not velocities for the hairpin crescendo. I put p to start the scale and finished with f in the dynamics. Musescore 4 plays the piano and forte dynamic ok, but the velocity adjustments for notes in-between for a proper crescendo does not change a thing. I wish Musescore 4 put back dynamic note velocities they had in 3.62.

If you use ms basic instruments for the velocity changes to create playback of crescendo, it works OK. Mus Instruments don't do crescendos, etc. well, only P F or MF.

Hairpins with dynamic marks at each end work in Muse Sounds on my system. Velocity does not, yet.

That's not true, hairpins in general work fine in Muse Sounds. Only the velocity overrides don't. Be sure you've added the hairpin correctly and the dynamics. If you continue to have problems getting hairpins to work, please attach your score.
Velocity works for soundfonts and presumably for VST instruments that operate on that principle (I gather many don't). Muse Sounds does not yet support velocity overrides, but this is planned for a coming update, along with a much simpler and also much more sophisticated system for setting the velocities.
