Muse 4 using the program samples on play back , crackles and heavy CPU use up to 70%
do something about it, i really like the program , but its got issues with a full orchestra score

In the meantime there are things that you can do about it. The playback engine is more...robust than MU3. It does use more CPU. Because of that, there may be audio settings in your system that need to be changed. It doesn't seem to make any difference if you don't have trouble with any other programs. For now, you might need to match your system to MU4.

Hi thanks , well i do not have problems with other programs , and i don't know how to match my sys to mu4, any suggestions , and by the way running IK multi as a stand along at the same time Mu4 hangs up

In MU4 go to Edit.Preferences.I/O ant raise the buffer to 4096. Leave the mixer open and turn the master volume down a notch. You can make the mixer smaller and move it out of the way. There are other things in Control panel that can be changed also.

Thanks, bobjp , i did all that i could think of but every time my CPU tops 70% also after the first playback of a section of the score it staters like you would not believe , what else can I do, I'm really trying to stay with Muse i really like it , this is the only thing that makes it really hard to work with.

Yu might need to go way down on the bit rate. Just to see if it helps.
Will it always be this way? No idea. But in the meantime......
