Another tie problem
Yet another ties-not-behaving problem. MuseScore 4.0.2.2, if it matters.
Screenshot below, none of the ties here across measures are actually tying - they're articulating separately. I've deleted them, and explicitly readded them with the tie button on the toolbar, so they're definitely ties, as the behavior when I select the first note and click indicated (only ties to the immediately following note, not somewhere further down the score.
MS4 playback issue? Or is there something else to notate to get notes to actually hold?

I'd rather not yet, let me see if I can excerpt this section and publish it. BRB after ststem updates.

I think that this has been reported before that ties don't when distortion or overdrive is added.

It's not the distortion. You can remove it, and change the instrumentation, and it still articulates across the barline.

All I can say is that in the score you posted, I deleted the work "distortion" in both guitar parts, and the ties worked. I think this is a known problem that, hopefully, is being worked on.

I opened the mscx in 3.6.2. and found that some of your ties are slurs.
There seems to be a bug in 4.x when it says that all of these are ties.

No such bug in Mu4, it claims them being slurs too
But Mu4 indeed doesn't play them a ties even if they are and that's a known bug with the distortion sound IIRC

So weird - I've explicitly used the 'T' key for deploying these ties, but I went through, removed the Overdrive notations, and used the UI button to put the ties back.
Now the notes correctly tie across measures without overdrive, and they do articulate with overdrive, which I guess is the known current state of things. So thanks for all of that :)
Is there a notation plugin that will add those tie/slur words? At the very least, I can run it, check everything, and then ^Z them back out of existence.
