File Corruption Error
Hello! I recently tried to open a project I have been working on, and for some reason, the document says that it has become corrupted. The exact error it gives is "Error=XML_ERROR_EMPTY_DOCUMENT ErrorID=13 (0xd) Line number=0"
I was wondering if anybody would be able to help provide solutions to resolve the issue - the score is quite long and I have put a lot of work into it, and my last backup is extremely old, as I recently switched computers and haven't saved a backup on my new desktop yet. I would really prefer not to have to redo all of this work, especially because I'm not sure I would be able to remember everything I wrote. Any assistance/advice is greatly appreciated!

Not sure if it's relevant, but I started a new score just so I could try and copy down some of my work before I forgot it, and the Musesounds don't sound the same. Did the software update today, or is something else going on here? I was using just the default Musesounds for my previous project, and hadn't made any changes other than some volume adjustments in the mixer.
The mscz file is a zipped folder and contains a mscx plain text file with the score.
I can open it in MuS 3.6.2. As the part 'Soprano Sax' does not contain anything this may have been the error.
Attached the score saved with 3.6.2. It should also work with MuS 4. But you need to reformat the title text block.

I'm currenly working on my 3.7 to detect those text styles properly ;-)

Holy cow - thank you so much! You have saved me literal hours of trying to re-write the piece from memory. You're seriously the best. If you don't mind my asking, how did you manage to unzip the file? I tried several programs but none of them recognized the file as being zipped, even though windows labels it as such.

Rename the file from MyScore.mscz to MyScore.zip

Or right click, Open with
Try this, Your mscz lost the META-INF/container.xml
Instead it had an empty Soprano Saxophone excerpt.
