how to get 4 metronome counts before the piece begins playing
For rehearsal with a piece, i'd like to get some "conductor" beats before the musescore starts playing the piece. It would be great if this were in the form of several clicks of the metronome before the first note is played. I need this time to press play on the computer keyboard and then grab my oboe to get ready to play when the music starts.
What is this called? Probably if I knew what it was called I could search it myself in the documentation.
And how can I do it?
Thanks
Jim

There's currently no way to do this other than by placing an empty bar at the beginning of your piece and then assign a percussion instrument to play 4 crotchets in it.

What's this called? Apparently, pickup measure is something different?
Do I need to file an enhancement request? or is there already one?

It's already implemented for 2.0, no need to file a request.

What's it called in 2.0? I want to try it out?

According to that post, it should be available in recent nightlies.

I found the metronome count-in before playback on the play panel.
But it has a pretty annoying bug. If I increase the tempo in the play panel, for example to 150% tempo, the metronome count-in does not increase in tempo.
Can anyone else reproduce this?
Jim

Yes, I see there is a bug filed on this already.
