How do you break multimeasure rests in MS4?
For some of the instruments in my score, they have long multimeasure rests like 14 or 20. How do I break these up into smaller groupings?

Musescore automatically breaks multimeasure rests at "musically significant" points including key or time signature changes, double bars and rehearsal marks. If you want to break a multimeasure rest in a different place, right click in the measure where you want the break and in measure properties select "Break multimeasure rest". However, if it is your arrangement or composition rather than an attempt to reproduce a published score, I recommend adding a rehearsal mark where you want the break. It makes for easier navigation during rehearsals. You can never have too many rehearsal marks.

I'm not seeing a "break multimeasure rest" option, although I remember it being in MS3. Only "show number" is there.

Are you looking at the measure properties menu. The Break multimeasure rest option was there in MU4 last time I looked (yesterday).
See if the handbook helps https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/measure-rests-and-multimeasure-rest…
