Problems with saving bass clef in my score
Hi, I am having trouble with making Musescore understand that I want to have a bass clef in the left hand in my piano solo score, and not a treble clef. When I change to bass clef and publish to Musescore, it then displays it in the treble clef, with a small bass clef in front. So it sounds like it should, but the appearance is weird. How can I fix this?

I can add that in order to make the right and left hand play seperate dynamics, I had to add another piano instrument to my score, and delete one of the treble/bass clefs, so that it appears as if it's just one instrument. But I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I did it before in Musescore 3 without any problems.

The instrument list says you have two pianos. I copied them into one piano. does it work?

No, because as I said then the dynamics are evened out, they are not playing seperate dynamics for both hands. And yes, because it now displays the bass clef correctly. But I want both things to be right :)

I think he chose two pianos on purpose because MuS 4 does not (yet) support different dynamics in treble and bass clef.
This is the workaround at the moment.

That's right. And it didn't support it in Musescore 3, either, so I always did it in this way, for it to sound right.

No, in MuS3 it is supported!
You need to set the hairpins and the dynamics in the inspector to 'Staff' instead the default value 'Part'.

I have done it in MuS 3.6.2. Maybe it helps and you can continue.
Text styles might have been lost - I don't know if some other things too.

Ok. Here's another try - my last :-).
If you add two pianos, as you did, you get a treble clef and a bass clef. Delete the bass clef for the first piano and the treble clef for the second piano in the Instrument dialog. Maybe you know that, but still it does not work in MuS 4 as expected.
It works in 3.6.2, I can not use version 4, so I cannot check it.

In Mu4 you apparently can't delete a(n additional) staff, once it has been added, but you can hide it.

I can explain the steps for MuS 3.6.2, but there should be something similar in MuS 4.

Either in the 'New Score Wizard' or later in the 'Instruments' window (i) enter two pianos as you have already done.
Select the bass clef (staff: 2) of the first piano (see picture) and press 'Remove from Score'.
Then select the treble clef (staff: 1) of the second piano and remove it as well.
The main difference in your score was: you deleted the treble clef line for both pianos and then inserted only the bass clef in the score. This should also work but it seems to be a small bug in MuS 4.
I'm having trouble adding a bass clef to a piano score as well. Never had this problem when using Musescore 3 versions
