Musescore 4.1 not letting me export or save to computer

So basically when I try to save to computer or export, it brings up file explorer, but when I click the save button, nothing happens. I'm not sure what's going on, as I haven't had this issue ever. It just started a few days ago. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Musescore, but it didn't fix the issue.

Should mention that it only affects scores that I've created recently (as in from the past couple of days). I tried it with older scores and they save and export just fine.

This just happened to me after setting up MuseScore on a new Mac. In my case @TheHutch was correct; it seemed to be a file permission thing as I had opened the score file from my Downloads folder.

To resolve, I closed MuseScore, moved the score file to another location (Documents, in my case), re-opened and had all my normal File options enabled again.

Also, once I attempt to export a file to my Downloads folder, MacOS prompted me for permission to access Downloads, and once granted, scores opened from there can Save/Export normally.
