Adding espressivo control for audio
With MuseScore 4 with MuseStrings one main problems for creating audio after more synthetic MS 3.6.2 is sometimes overly used expressive interpretion. Sometimes it is correct but even one miss seems disturbing.
General convention is to add 'espr.' on phrases that need more expressive interpretion than usual. But there is a need (for me) to limit on certain places this and I suggest to use some similar term like 'semplice'. If it is not needed for score it could always be hidden. For cancellation of either (or other similar instructions) term ordinato (ord.) could be used. Or automatic cancellation on next rest.
There is an 'expressive' text available but I have no knowledge if it is used now for anything.

The problem I see is who's definition of whatever term, do you use? And it is going to be situation specific.

I see that the opposed view is taken to the way to go. But I find it difficult to see how having violin I and violin II is the way to go. There would be need to have violin 3 etc. One aggressive on lamentatios. I don't think there are violinists that are ALWAYS playing like that. It would be a short career. Rather, I suspect that most violinists can play in several ways as they please. Therefore I feel the 'method of play' should be available for every part.

Violin 1 and violin 2 do not refer to sections or positions. Violin 2 is supposed to be less expressive than violin 1.
Same with Violins 1 and 2. You don't assign Violins 1 to the 1st violin section and violins 2 to the second violin section. Rather, they are slightly different sounds depending on the playback you want. You might normally use Violins 2 for both sections. Depending on the playback you want.
