Horrible crackling sound when i press any note on musescore 4
Hello friends , I have been using musescore for years without a single issue
I have found lot's of pleasure using the latest musescore 4 , i write piano songs all the time for my students .
But for some unknown reason since this morning , everytime I press any note on the sheet , there is this horrible crackling noise that is unbearable to hear
I tried writing a sheet on musescore 3 and it works perfectly so it's only a musescore 4 issue , i tried rebooting and removing my sound card and everything but nothing changed .
Can you guys help me please ?

I have this same issue, so for no solution is found and I'd recommend using MS3 for the time being. It will probably be fixed in a new mini update.

does your computer meet the minimum requirements for MS4.x?

You can also try to increase the buffer in Settings -> I/O to 2048 or 4096

Hello ,
I have a 2.5K worth computer with an Rtx 3080 Full DDr5 system 3 giga SSD etc so yeah i meet by far the requirements.
I fixed the problem it was because I had activate Sonar in steelseries software .

Sounds like MU4 worked OK until this noise started happening. In that case, try a reset of MU4. This is found in the Help tab.
