MS plays erroneous notes after editing score by adding chords
I have edited an existing score by adding chords, and deleting melody notes. Then I try to let it play (should be only the chords); however, , it still plays the melody notes I deleted by replacing them with rests) in between chords.
It seems like MS does not correctly adapt the playback to the changes I made.
I had this problem with at least 2 different scores.
When I copied the notes and chords into a brandnew empty score, the chord sequence played correctly, withput the unwanted / non-existing notes.

Thanks for your fast reaction!
You are correct (I thought I had deleted the lower staff, but only had put it to sleep).
After I deleted the lower staff and saved the score it still played the notes of the lower staff, however. But when i closed ms completely and then reopened the score, it worked fine. Maybe ms does not clear the cache memory unless you completely close it and then reopen it.
Thanks again,
Roeland
As already mentioned, the notes you hear are not the previously deleted melody notes, but rather the notes on the hidden second staff.
Also, if you want only the chords to sound, you can solo them in the Mixer. (No need to delete anything).
