Guitar Tab Problems (3rd post now without legitimate answer)
I am working on transcribing a guitar part in a song that is in the tuning DGCFAD. When I create a note on the 5th fret or higher on a string, it automatically moves it up one string and makes it 0. This makes chord building near impossible and turns essentially every part of this process a giant pain in the ass. If there was a way I could disable this or be made aware of a workaround, it would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you have checked "Always open" for the strings concerned by this open tuning in the "String Data"? Please don't do this. Uncheck everything. This is not a feature for guitarists. See: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/customizing-tablature-staff#mark-op…

So please, attach your score (the .mscz file, not an image), as asked previously. You didn't in your two previous posts.
If we are to make a serious diagnosis, we need access to the score.

BUT, in the main score, the guitar tuning is the default tuning. Whereas in the Guitar part, it's an open tuning. You can understand the problem...

It's a known limitation (or bug, it all depends on how you look at it): changing strings tuning is not taken into account in the main score and vice-versa. I'll have a look at what can be done.

Oh my lord, thank you so much
I apologize for being the amount of uncooperative I've been, I have had quite a bit going on in the past few months.

The first thing would be to change the strings tuning in the main score too, to restore consistency... If that's not enough, please get back to us.
