This app is shit
I was working on a composition, I closed my laptop, and when I re-opened it the app was bugged and it kicked me out, erasing all of my progress. DON'T USE IT. IT SUCKS

Alternately, people should definitely use this well-supported & free notation application which absolutely doesn't suck and simply have the common sense to press save once in a while.
FWIW, if your computer glitched after waking from sleep (a common issue on many systems), there isn't anything MuseScore can do about it, but for the record, it does autosave your work every two minutes. So even if you forgot to ever hit Save, after a crash you can still recover your score next time you start MsueScore it will ask you. Even if you accidentally answer "no", it's not too late, just see https://musescore.org/en/node/52116 and read up on the autosave feature.
And next time, do remember to save your work, it's a crucial step using any computer program!

Yeah, it does suck unfortunately. I was really counting on version 4 so I can finally dump Sibelius. What's even more irritating is that "Tantacrul" talked a lot of smack about how bad Sibelius is (and it STILL is!) but beyond updating the interface and workflow, there are still major glitches and missing features that are just inexcusable. Don't get me wrong, A LOT of really good work went into improving MuseScore but the earlier versions were so lacking that most of the improvements went into bringing the program up to speed with Sibelius and Dorico. Sadly it still has a long way to go. My latest peeve is a severe audio latency problem and there's no option to choose my ASIO driver in the I/O settings. Even Sibelius managed to get that right. Maybe Musescore is going the route of Sibelius—offer features nobody asked for instead of "really" improving the program ($$$). Musescore even partially adopted the ugly purple color scheme of Sibelius. I'm here to tell you, MuseScore, that's DEFINITELY not a selling point. Ditch the ugly AVID purple.

"So what" to latency issues? Typical cliquish musician "circling the wagons" response... "I'm not having an issue so it must be you." This is why music notation software is still a holy mess. You refuse to clean up major bugs from years ago, much less work on features that users ask for or really need. I just uninstalled this crap off my system because it behaves like malware. It constantly runs in the background and there's absolutely no way to kill the process. Given the dreadful customer reviews about musescore.com (double-billing, reactivating cancelled subscriptions, reneging on free trials, etc.), it all seems very dubious.

Did you actually read my post? Doesn't seem like it. I never said so what to latency issues. If you want better playback, dump notation software altogether. A DAW always has been and always will be, better. That isn't circling the wagons. I'm not defending anything. The other fact is that if you don't have a powerful enough system adjusted to run MU4 (yes, your system settings might need to be changed) then you may have problems. Gamers know this.
You can quit the HUB so it isn't running in the background. It's only a problem on Linux. I don't think you knew any of this.
Developers seldom read the forums. That's not what the forums are for. As a user I don't have any way to clean up major bugs. But we can discuss them here and try to figure out if these things are bugs, or something else. And it doesn't do much good to complain about .com here.

Actually the features most requested are the ones that get the most work. That includes ease of use, quality of engraving, and playback realism. Real-time MIDI inout is not a highly requested feature - it’s something used by only a tiny percentage of users. Which is why this far it hasn’t received as much attention as the most requested features - because as you say, what users actually want comes first.
But no doubt, over time as everything else improves, real time MIDI will start to rise higher on the priority list. And of course, being open source, if someone with the necessary skills finds it important right now, they are welcome to join the effort and make it happen sooner.
As for bugs, not sure which you are referring to, but if you can post the link to the issues on GitHub, Incan certainly check on them status for you. But for the record, hundreds of bugs are fixed every year. Again, there is a prioritization system in place so that the most serious / most often reported ones get looked at first normally.
I hate this app. First I had over 200 songs saved in my songbook and suddenly over 100 of them disappear and many others titles are replaced with number sequences so I don’t even know what song I’m trying to click on until I wait 2-3 mins just for it to load. I decided to start favouriting songs instead so that wouldnt happen again and now I’ve opening the app today to discover that all the songs I’ve favourited over the year are gone. I logged out and tried to log back into my account to see if that would fix anything and now it won’t let me log back into my account!!! I’m so over this app, like why am I even paying $179.99 a year just to have the app get rid of all my scores I pay to be able to save.

You still have 140 favourites on your profile. You should contact the .com support but I always found the website to be a lot better than the (Android) app so I stick with the website. You can assign your favourites to sets to make them easier to find. I see that you have made a couple of sets but they are both empty.

To be clear: this website is for discussion of the free open source music notation software MuseScore. it sounds like you have some sort of question about the mobile app provided by the folks over on the commercial score-sharing website musescore.com. For questions about their services and products, you'd have to ask over there on their site.
