MS 4.2 How to add note-anchored lines between notes on adjacent staves?
How does one do this? Using the Line pallette works within a stave, but when trying to connect notes in different staves in the same system, strange formatting happens, like undesired changes in spacing between staves.
MS 4.2, Mac OS 13.6.3

select one note, ctrl+select another, Add > Line > Note-anchored line
That line is not part of the lines palette at all

Note anchored lines are the best kept secret or MuseScore 😉

Yes, I believe on Mac it is Cmd instead of Ctrl
Edit: the handbook doesn't mention Cmd here, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/selecting-elements#select-list-manu…
If you are taking suggestions, it would be nice for choral part lines to be able to designate solid/dash/dotted.

For note-anchored lines? Possible already, via the properties

I can't seem to find any place in the properties to set the line type. Attached are screenshots of what I see. Please advise...

I'm afraid that here your customisation of the UI has shot you in the foot. ;-)
If you dock the Palettes panel immediately under the Properties panel, you simply can't see the other properties which you need, further down the Properties panel. This is what you should be seeing in the Properties for a Note-anchored Line, in the Style property at the foot of the Style tab:

That is pretty clearly not a note anchored line but a text line

"That is pretty clearly not a note anchored line but a text line"
That is what the properties panel says but it lies.
If I select a note-anchored line, I see exactly what is in DanielR's picture.
[Edit]. It is not exactly a lie as you can in fact add start, continue and end text to a note anchored line. But they don't necessarily line up with the start, continuation point or end of the line.

In MS3 as well as in MS4, a Note-anchored Line is reported as "Text line" in the Status Bar. So I don't think that this is a regression in MS4.

Ok, I stand corrected then 😉
