how select a group of notes so can transpose
is there a way to use the mouse to select a particular (rectangular) area of a score so that i can transpose it either chromatically or diatonically, but leave the rest of the score not transposed?

If using the mouse, maybe are you talking about this possibility (broken in the 4.2.0 and fixed in the last 4.2.1) ?
