Support: Add Image
OS: Windows 10 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.2.1-240230937, revision: d757433
I have a text frame on a cover page, before the score. Right-click does not show a 'Add Image' option.
Drag and drop a .png into it has no effect. It shows the 'Copy' message all right but it does not appear.
I have tried clicking after the text frame on the page, Add Frame > Vertical, but nothing appears.
Maybe I'm not selecting the right thing first, but how do I add an image?
Comments
Remove the text frame, and use a Vertical Frame instead (select the first measure /Add/ Frames / Insert Vertical frame), see image below.

Thank you @Cadiz1! I need the text frame for the text, but all I had to after inserting a vertical frame before the first stave is to make the text box smaller so the V.frame moves to the first page. Then Add Image, then drag & drop the image to where it is needed among the text.
(BTW the wording is confusing - a Vertical frame looks horizontal to me and V.V. but that's the way it is.)

The way I think about it: A vertical frame lies between systems. A horizontal frame lies between measures.

I think (in my memories), it's a question of editing (in the sense of enlarging the size of these frames).
A frame is said to be vertical because it can only extend vertically. Whereas a horizontal frame can only expand horizontaly.
Let's say, therefore, that it's not the actual aspect that matters, but its direction (left/right, up/down) when it expands.
