Chord symbols playback duration
Hello everyone, and happy new year.
I've tried for the first time to change the instrument for chord symbols playback and I've noticed that if you use an instrument with a long (or indefinite) sustain, the chord keeps sounding indefinitely until a new chord symbol appears. This is fine most of the time, as that what's normally intended, but if you have a suspension or a section where you don't what that track to sound at all, i.e. by not inserting either notes or chord symbols in it, the last chord keeps sounding indefinitely.
Is there a way to silence the last chord symbol played, or is the only solution to use an instrument with a quick decay, like the default piano?
thank you all
José

Many thanks for the quick reply, I've found the "Duration" option in the Inspector, thanks a lot.

Good morning! Is it possible to make the default one of the other two choices? I have yet to need the "play until next chord", but daily need to use "until the end of the measure" setting. Would love to just "set and forget"!

btw, I've done this for my main summertime template, but this doesn't work for all scores, and I really wish it could.

Is this a global setting, or can It be applied to specific measures?

Or in Inspector, then hit the Set as style button

Thank you--but it doesn't seem to want to work outside the scope of a score--I need to set this globally as a default for every score. Is there a way to dig into the defaults for this? Should I put this in a feature request?
