Converting to Tab
Hi, I have properly downloaded a pdf of a song in standard notation. How do I get it to convert to tab?
Thanks,
Tim

Basically, you should change the violin staff to a fretted, stringed instrument (e.g., guitar), or copy/paste the notes into a new (guitar) staff. If you create a linked treble and TAB staff, edits to one staff automatically get transferred to the other.
Here's your score using guitar:

Try adding a linked TAB staff and, if necessary, return here with any further questions.

Still not seeing TAB. Nothing in the menu clarifies the conversion process. Oh well, I can delete this app.

For what instrument do you want TAB? Ukelele? Mandolin? Guitar?
Here's guitar:

Takes but a minute to accomplish.

If all you want is the tab, simplest is to right-click the existing standard staff, then Staff/Part Properties, then Change Instrument, then select Guitar (Tablature). If you want both standard notation and tablature, first use that same process to change to Guitar if it isn't already, then go to Edit / Instruments, select the existing staff, then click Add Linked Staff, and change the type to tablature.

I know this is an old post, but I'm hoping I can still ask a question. I see how to shift from standard notation to tablature for a guitar. I wish to write some pieces for (alto or tenor) recorder, 11-course baroque lute, and viola da gamba. I see how to change standard notation to French tablature for a 6-course Renaissance lute, but how do I do it for an 11-course baroque lute (or even a 10-course Renaissance lute)? Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Doesn't matter, that too has a mixer and allows to change the sound of an instrument
